Implementation of Electronic Issuance/Certification of Copies of Application Files and Industrial Property Protection Titles

In alignment with the national strategy on digital transformation and administrative reform, the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IP Vietnam) has officially implemented the issuance and certification of electronic copies of application files, documents, and industrial property protection titles.

This initiative aims to enhance efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and improve service delivery for both individuals and businesses.

🔍 Key Highlights:

• Effective Immediately: From the date of this notice.
• Upon request and approval, applicants will receive an official email containing:
  • The application or protection title number;
  • A secure link to access the electronic document;
  • A unique document retrieval code.
• The electronic copies hold the same legal validity as their paper-based counterparts and can be accessed, viewed, downloaded, and stored for official use.
• Paper copies will only be issued in the following cases:
  • The applicant does not have an email address;
  • There is a specific legal or procedural requirement for physical documents.

Paper documents will be delivered by post or made available for collection at IP Vietnam’s One-Stop Service Desk.
